| Nvidia introduced its 400M notebook discrete GPUs, the GeForce GTX 480M, a couple of months after releasing its first DX11 GPUs based on the Fermi architecture, the GeForce GTX 480. Now, it has fleshed out the family, and offers seven Fermi-based notebook processors. The new processors are based on the 40nm fabrication process, and will all support CUDA, 3D Vision, PhysX, and Optimus graphics-switching technology. According to Nvidia, the new 400M series offers 40x better performance than the previous generation of GeForce, and are 5 times faster than Intel’s integrated solutions.
